Covid-19 Updates and Responsible Re-Opening

In This Together

Updates

Septmber 8th, 2020 - We are now open to guest pass purchases and reciprocity members. Showers are open again, but we ask everyone to spray them with disinfectant provided after each use. Monday - Friday operating hours will now be expanding to 5:00AM - 8:00PM. Thanks to everyone for doing their part in following the guidelines set to keep each other safe, and keeping us open and running safely! We can get through this, together.

July 23rd, 2020 - Ohio State Governor Mike DeWine announced a face mask mandate that will go into effect on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020 at 6pm for anyone aged 10 years and older. The new mask mandate requires individuals to wear masks inside public spaces and outdoors where social distancing is not available. To comply with these orders members must now wear masks when: entering and exiting the building, in common areas (hallways, locker rooms, etc.), when not actively exercising. We are not requiring masks to be worn when: actively exercising in a class or on fitness equipment, in the pool. Staff will continue to wear face masks throughout their shifts to create the safest possible environment for all. Please be kind to our staff who are now required by law to enforce this order.

June 25th, 2020 - In an effort to effectively communicate with our community and members better, we are looking to update our contact information. Please check in with front desk staff or send an email to [email protected] with the following info: Name, current address, preferred telephone number, email address. Doing so will help us successfully convey information regarding Covid-19, programs, memberships, and more!

June 16th, 2020 - Water fitness classes are back! Look for an updated schedule.

June 16th, 2020 - We are expanding our hours Monday-Friday to 6:00AM - 7:00PM.

June 8th, 2020 - Some of our fitness classes are returning, check out our recent class schedule! We are also able to accept new members, we hope to see you soon!

May 26th, 2020 - We at the Y are excited to once again open our doors to our members. We've worked hard on a plan to keep our staff and members as safe as possible, and are following all guidelines set by health and government officials. Phase 1 Re-Opening: At this time we will be open to active members only, no guest passes or reciprocity. Child Watch will not be available. Pool lap lanes and court time must be reserved in advance. Locker rooms will be open with limited use; no showers, steam rooms or saunas will be available. We ask members to self-screen before entry to the facility and those feeling sick or with a fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher should stay home. At this time masks are not required, but are recommended. Please wash or sanitize your hands upon entry to the facility. Please follow social-distancing guidelines and stay a minimum of six feet apart from anyone outside of your household. We will also be operating at partial capacity, and under shortened hours to allow for deeper cleanings. Staff will be required to wear face masks, and will be disinfecting high -touch surfaces throughout the day.

May 15th, 2020 - As many of you have heard, the Governor announced yesterday that fitness facilities may begin to re-open starting on May 26th, 2020. We are currently working on a plan for our own re-opening, and will share those details with you as soon as possible. As always, our goal is to keep our members and employees as safe as possible, and we will be following all guidelines set to ensure that. Again, we thank all of you who have been able to stick with us. We look forward to seeing you soon.

May 11th, 2020 - We are a membership-based charitable organization. While we provide fitness options, we are so much more. Without your continued support the YMCA would just not continue to exist. At this time our community helps bring people together, by staying apart. We are so thankful to those who have been able to stick with us during our closure, so that we can once again open our doors when it is safe.

March 20th, 2020 - We understand that the closure of our facilities might have felt abrupt and unexpected. We know it was the right decision under the extraordinary circumstances because of the health and well-being of you, our members, our community, and our valued staff comes first, always. For questions or concerns about your membership or programs during this time, please contact our membership office at [email protected]

March 16th, 2020 - As per Governor Mike DeWine: Fitness centers and gyms are mandated to close. We will be working closely with local, state, and federal authorities, as well as one another, to respond to the unique needs of communities during this pandemic.

How You Can Help

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends these actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases such as the Coronavirus (COVID-19):

Wash Your Hands

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

Cover Your Cough

Always cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue then throw the tissue in the trash, or use the inside of inside of your elbow. Immediately wash or sanitize your hands.

Clean and Disinfect Regularly

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe. https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/list-n-disinfectants-use-against-sars-cov-2-covid-19

Don't Touch Your Face

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Avoid Close Contact

Stay at least 6 feet (about two arms lengths) away from others who do not live in your household.

Cover Your Mouth and Nose with a Face Covering When Around Others

You can spread Covid-19 to others even when you do not feel sick. The mask is mean to protect other people in case you are infected. Ohio is currently under a Mask Mandate.
